Meet Manny Regateiro, BPC’s executive operations manager! Manny has been with BPC for 12 years – since its start – and we couldn’t be more grateful for the ways he continues to contribute to BPC’s success. Keep reading to learn a little more about Manny.
BPC: What has your career path looked like and how did you end up at BPC?
“I’ve been blessed to serve in an operational role since the beginning of my career over 20 years ago. From working for a global IT solutions company as a Service Level Manager with over 30,000 employees, to startup companies with less than 100 employees, I’ve worn many hats.
“Through close relationships and prior experience, I joined the boiler and pressure vessel inspection/engineering industry. After working for another company that provided similar services [to BPC], and through new ownership opportunities, a few other people from that company and I formed BPC.”
BPC: What does a typical work day look like for you?
Manny: “It’s unpredictable! I begin a work day by evaluating which area of operations requires prioritization. I then help provide solutions to both internal and external needs.
“Communication is a major part of my day. Whether assisting our customers, assuring our compliance with regulatory agencies, managing our infrastructure and processes, or assisting our amazing BPC team in any way needed, communicating and keeping the ship steaming forward is the goal.
“No matter which ‘hat’ is needed in the moment, I gladly wear it.”
BPC: What’s inspired you to stay at BPC?
Manny: “Since BPC’s inception 12 years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible people. We have such an ocean of talent and experience, and I’ve learned a great deal about the industry and leadership. Being a part of the building process and being hands-on is a very rewarding feeling.
“From our original ‘Dirty Dozen’ to the magnificent group of individuals we now have, working together for a common goal is what makes BPC special and different.”
BPC: What are some of the best things about your position as executive operations manager?
Manny: “The greatest characteristic of serving in a pure operations role is adaptability. Switching gears and speeds is the normal flow of my work day, and serving in the operational seat is fun! My responsibilities range greatly – every hour presents something new.”
BPC: What makes you most proud to be a part of the BPC team?
Manny: “Our people. Our culture. Our history. Nothing came easy to our group, but we all give our best efforts and have gotten to see the results of those efforts converging into one cohesive vision.”
BPC: What does your life look like outside of work?
Manny: “I work hard and play hard! When I’m not in work mode, you can find me touring the mountainside on my Harley Davidson.”
Thank you so much for all you do, Manny! Your problem solving skills, flexibility, and dedication are truly an asset to BPC.
