President’s Notes

Happy New Year, everyone. 2020 is here and we are more than ready for it. We finished 2019 with steady growth and have positioned ourselves with strategic new hires to support additional growth in 2020. Not only have we been busy hiring field staff (7), administrative support staff (2), and Jurisdictional Trainees (3), but earlier this year, we hired a dedicated sales and marketing manager. In the month that he has been in place, our sales and marketing manager has already generated a number of large leads and is working with a major insurance brokerage on an industry changing initiative. 2020 is going to be another fun year!

Along these same lines, we continue to work on improving our service offerings and deliverables. We plan to expand our use of the “My Route” tool to improve our travel efficiencies. With the CO2 3 year bubble we see in Georgia coming up, travel efficiency will be the key to getting inspections completed on time and in a cost effective manner.

In 2020, we will begin adding photos to our recommendation letters at the request of our customers. This will provide a superior product to our customers, allowing them to easily address the issues we highlight with their equipment and should eliminate questions on what we are trying to get them to do. This will involve a bit of a learning curve for some of us, but will produce better results for our clients and our team.

As we continue to grow in 2020, we will all be challenged with finding better and more efficient ways to provide the highest level of customer service to our wide-ranging and varied customers. We are leading the industry and setting the bar high for our competition, but we cannot rest on what we have done. We have to work hard to not only maintain the high bar we’ve set, but also strive to raise it even more. BPC will continue to be a fun and rewarding place to work, with a varied customer base that challenges us to meet their complex needs. Along with the Jurisdictional Inspections, Property Loss Control Assessments and EB Assessments we offer, we will also continue to provide accident investigations, engineering consultations, boiler and pressure vessel inventory assistance or anything else that our current or potential customers need that our unique skill sets allow us to provide.

I am extremely excited about being a part of the BPC team and working with such a dedicated, professional and flexible staff. With such a team, the sky’s the limit on what we can do. Thank you all for your hard work.
