Congratulations are in order! In April, we had such an incredible performance from two team members that we gave out two President’s Awards. One of these inspectors was Joe Kay.
“I’ve been with BPC for 7 months, and my normal territory is Michigan and Indiana, although I do branch into Ohio when needed,” Joe said. “The objects I inspect include everything from small hot water supply boilers up to multi-story boilers and Heat Recovery Steam Generators.”
While he enjoys the work itself, Joe has another favorite thing about BPC: its people.
“The thing I enjoy most about BPC is that everyone is always willing to help each other when asked,” he said.
BPC’s people are also what make it stand out within the industry.
“The biggest thing that sets BPC apart from its competitors is the focus on providing good inspections and excellent customer interactions,” Joe said. “After working in the industry for nearly four years, I’ve seen the way taking the time to really learn the customer’s needs and concerns allows us to better understand the operation of their equipment.”
Joe’s commitment to great work is what made him stand out as a clear winner of the month’s recognition and bonus.
“Joseph Kay stepped up and volunteered to assist the Eastern Region with getting overdues caught up in Rhode Island where he was able to complete 21 regular location visits and 39 CO2 locations visits the week he was there,” said Venus Newton, President of BPC. “Then in his own territory of MI/NE Indiana, he completed another 27 regular location visits.
“He also stepped up and will be covering most of Indiana while we work to fill the recent vacancy in that area and has already made some inroads with a customer in that area.
“For the month of April, his excellent customer service and planning skills earned him this recognition. This is the kind of dedication and efficiency that continues to separate us from the competition – great job, Joe!”
“It feels great to be recognized with the President’s Award,” Joe said. “There is no better feeling, in a professional sense, than when the work that you put in is seen.”
We’re grateful for you, Joe, and for your commitment to excellence!
