Meet Heather Crask, BPC’s JO Account Manager. Heather was brought on last year as a JO Account Coordinator and has excellent teamwork and customer service skills, both internally and with our CO2 partners. We are thrilled to announce her promotion.

BPC: What does your day-to-day look like?

I work remotely in Shreveport, Louisiana. My daily duties range from managing CO2 Accounts, handling new installation requests/permits, processing tank swap outs, scheduling appointments and maintaining CO2 billing spreadsheets, training new inspectors to use JO, and assisting with questions about the JO system.

 

BPC: How did it feel to be invested in by BPC?

Amazing! Being hired by BPC was a life changer! While change can make me a little nervous, I was immediately welcomed and accepted by everyone at BPC; coming on board was like joining a new family and I am honestly thrilled to be a part of this company. The entire management team has been very encouraging and provides positive feedback and recognition for hard work. I would like to thank Brandon Loveridge, Venus Newton and Gary Cox for giving me the opportunity to join this amazing team of people and for the recent promotion. Jason Cox, the CO2 National Project Manager, has also been an absolute pleasure to work with and I think we make a great team!

 

BPC: What do you enjoy most about working here?

The people! BPC has the best employees. Every single person that I have worked with over the last 15 months has been helpful and friendly.

 

BPC: What did you do career-wise prior to coming on to BPC?

I worked as a Support Rep for Jurisdiction Online for about 8 years before joining BPC. BPC was one of the accounts that I managed at JO, so I was familiar with many of the employees and the company culture prior to being hired. It was an interesting switch, from communicating with BPC as one of my clients to joining the team as an employee, but I couldn’t be happier with the way it worked out.

 

BPC: What do you think sets BPC apart from your competitors?

I think BPC stands out against the competition because of the great team of people! Everyone works together with a common goal to be the most efficient and accurate while staying focused on client satisfaction and public safety. Not only do we have the best team in the industry as far as skills and knowledge base, they are also incredible human beings.

 

BPC: Tell us about your family and life outside of work. 

I have two kids, Hazel (9) and Ezra (6). My third baby is my puppy, Dempsey.  My husband, Jake, owns a local boxing gym – Dement Brothers Old School Boxing Club – and we stay pretty active. We love to travel and be outdoors. I love live music and can’t wait to be able to attend a concert again.

 

BPC: Anything else you’d like to add?

I cannot say “Thank you!” enough for this amazing opportunity to work with such a great company. I am thrilled to be a part of BPC and can’t wait to see what our future holds!

 

Meet David Bullen, one of BPC’s newest inspectors. In August, David completed the BPC Apprentice Program and obtained his National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission. He’s excited to serve our clients and we are thrilled to have him as part of our team!

BPC: What is your role at BPC and how long have you been working here?

I am a Commissioned Inspector at BPC.  I have been working for BPC since last October, going through their apprentice program. I became fully certified in August 2020. I first heard about BPC through Tom Keirnan, the East Regional Supervisor at BPC.

BPC: What kind of objects are you typically inspecting?

I typically inspect boilers that are used for hot water heating and supply for facilities, air tanks that are used for storage and general services, and CO2 tanks used in the foodservice industry.

BPC: What are some interesting things you have seen on the job?

The types of places I visit can vary drastically. I have seen the insides of large paper mill facilities and have inspected places like Virginia State Parks.

BPC: What did you do career-wise before coming to BPC? 

Before BPC, I worked for several years at a company that did contract work for the Navy and Coast Guard doing lube oil and hydraulic systems flushes on their ships and equipment.

BPC: What do you enjoy most about working here?

I enjoy all the different locations I get to visit daily and building relationships with our customer base.

BPC: What do you think sets BPC apart from your competitors?

Our commitment to our customers and the professionalism we conduct ourselves with separates us from our competitors.

BPC: How did it feel to be invested in by BPC? 

I feel very honored and lucky to have been invested in by BPC. I would like to thank Tom Kiernan, East Regional Supervisor, and Darryl Royal, Sr., Senior Inspector, who I trained under for my 800 hours of practical experience needed for commission. I’m grateful for all the knowledge they both offered and continue to offer me.

BPC: Tell us about your family and life outside of work. 

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and surfing, refinishing old furniture, and spending time with my dog, Miller.

Meet Forest Andrews, one of BPC’s newest inspectors. Earlier this year, Forrest completed the BPC Apprentice Program and obtained his National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission. We are very excited to have him as part of our team!

BPC: How did you hear about BPC?

I was introduced to BPC through my brother, Austin. I began shadowing with him in Tennessee when I started my training. 

BPC: What is your role at BPC and how long have you been working here?

I have been working with BPC since March of 2020. When I passed my test, I moved to Mississippi to work as an inspector there. Before coming on board with BPC, I had my own detailing business that I did full time.

BPC: What kind of objects are you typically inspecting?

The majority of the objects I look at are unfired pressure vessels. I also inspect recovery and power boilers at Georgia Pacific Plants.

BPC: What are some interesting things you have seen on the job?

One of the really interesting things I have seen was at Ingalls Shipbuilding; there were a few navy destroyers in the bay being worked on. 

BPC: What do you enjoy most about working here?

The most enjoyable thing about this job is that every day – for the most part – is different; it’s so much better than sitting in an office cubicle, seeing the same walls day in and out.

BPC: What do you think sets BPC apart from your competitors?

I like that BPC is a “smaller” company; there are a lot more interactions with other coworkers. I can easily ask others for help and get answers to any questions I may have.

BPC: Tell us about your family and life outside of work. 

Outside of work I like to hunt, fish, ride dirt bikes and work on my truck. My family currently lives in Comanche, Texas where we have 100 acres of land to hunt and ride dirt bikes.
